Kids Walk brings together patients, students, families, and supporters to walk and raise money to beat pediatric cancers. 100% of every dollar goes to fighting pediatric cancers through research and new discoveries at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Only 4% of federal funding for cancer research is dedicated to pediatric cancers, which is why pediatric cancer research is extremely underfunded. That’s where the Kids Walk community comes in. 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to MSK Pediatrics — where more kids with cancer are treated than any other hospital in the United States.
Warriors are those who have faced pediatric cancers, are currently battling cancer, and those we have lost too soon. We honor and celebrate Warriors' courage and strength on event day and every day of the year.
In 2018, Kids Walk participants and donors came together and raised $1.3 million for pediatric cancer research. The dedication and hard work of our participants, donors, and supporters of all ages have brought us one step closer to beating pediatric cancers. Since Kids Walk started in 2001, we have raised donations totaling more than $6 million, with over $3 million raised in the last three years. See the research we conducted in 2017.
For more than a century, Memorial Sloan Kettering has been at the forefront of the most significant advances in treating pediatric cancers — even the rarest types. Every dollar raised through Kids Walk gives the doctors and researchers at MSK what they need to discover new and better treatment options for the children who receive care at MSK. It’s also important to remember that discoveries at MSK have the power to improve the lives of kids with cancer around the world. Together, we can make progress possible.
Please join the fight against kids’ cancers today. You are the difference.
