Basic Information

What is Kids Walk for MSK Kids?

Kids Walk for MSK Kids unites patients, students, families, friends, and supporters to raise money to beat pediatric cancers. 100% of every dollar goes to fighting pediatric cancers through research and new discoveries at MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatric program.

What is MSK Kids?

MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatric program, is dedicated to all children, teens, young adults, and families facing childhood cancer. With specialized expertise and care focused on the individual child, more families turn to MSK Kids for pediatric cancer care than any other hospital in the United States. As pioneers in research, no one fights harder than the physicians and scientists to prevent, treat, and ultimately cure childhood cancer—for the patients at MSK Kids, and for those around the world. The game-changing research being done has created new treatments with better outcomes and fewer long-term side effects—developing options where there previously were none. That’s because one of the greatest strengths is how the doctors and researchers come together for patients. Collaborating closely, they move their research findings from the laboratory to the bedside quicker.

How much money goes to cancer research?

100% of every dollar raised goes directly to life-changing research at MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatric program.

Why is raising money for Kids Walk for MSK Kids important?

Pediatric cancer research is extremely underfunded. Less than 5% of the National Cancer Institute’s budget is dedicated to researching pediatric cancers, which is why donations from Kids Walk for MSK Kids are critical to making progress possible.

Who is a Warrior?

Warriors are people who have faced, are currently battling, or have lost too soon from a pediatric cancer. We honor and celebrate them on event day and every day of the year.
