About

Who We Are

Kids Walk for MSK Kids unites patients, students, families, friends, and supporters to raise money to beat pediatric cancers. 100% of every dollar goes to fighting pediatric cancers through research and new discoveries at MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatric program.

Less than 5% of the National Cancer Institute’s budget is dedicated to researching pediatric cancers.

The doctors and researchers at MSK Kids rely on the generosity of donors to make up the difference, and that’s where the Kids Walk for MSK Kids community comes in! 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to MSK Kids, the pediatric program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) — the largest program of its kind in the United States.

$10 Million Raised

The dedication and hard work of our participants, donors, and supporters of all ages helps bring us one step closer to beating pediatric cancers. Since Kids Walk for MSK Kids began in 2001, $10 million has been raised, with nearly 50% of that raised in the last five years.

The Impact

For more than a century, MSK has been at the forefront of the most significant advances in treating pediatric cancers — even the rarest types. Every dollar raised through Kids Walk for MSK Kids gives the doctors and researchers at MSK Kids, MSK’s pediatric program, the resources they need to make new discoveries in the lab and provide better treatment options for children, teens, and young adults. The discoveries made at MSK Kids can improve the lives of young people with cancer around the world.

Together, we have the power to make progress possible.
